Should I use Ahrefs or AI Visibility Checker?

Does Ahrefs Site Audit cover AI bots?
Partially. Ahrefs Site Audit will tell you about robots.txt directives and JS-rendering issues — but it scores against Googlebot, not GPTBot or ClaudeBot. It will not tell you that your llms.txt is missing, that your FAQ schema is incomplete for AI extraction, or that your Cloudflare settings are silently blocking PerplexityBot. Those are our core checks.
Is AI Visibility Checker an "Ahrefs alternative"?

Will Ahrefs add AI bot audits eventually?
Almost certainly. Every major SEO suite will. The question is when and how deep.
