Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 9, 2026
This page lists every cookie and similar storage mechanism this site uses, what each one does, and how to control them. See also our Privacy Policy for the broader picture.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They’re used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and (when you allow it) measure usage. We treat localStorage entries the same way — anything we persist on your device is listed below.
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to function. They don’t track you and aren’t subject to consent (Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive exemption).
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ai-visibility-checker-session | Session cookie used by Laravel for authenticated requests to the admin panel and CSRF protection. | First‑party | 2 hours |
| XSRF-TOKEN | CSRF token paired with the session above. | First‑party | 2 hours |
| aivc.token | Bearer token for API authentication after sign‑in. Stored in localStorage, not transmitted as a cookie. | First‑party | Until you log out |
| aivc.theme | Your light / dark / system theme choice. localStorage. | First‑party | Persistent until you change it |
| aivc.consent.v1 | Records your cookie choices on this page. localStorage. | First‑party | Persistent until you change it |
Analytics (Google Consent Mode v2)
We use Google Analytics 4 with Google’s Consent Mode v2 framework. Until you accept analytics, GA runs in cookieless ping mode: it sends anonymous, aggregated traffic signals (page hit, country‑level location) without setting any _ga*cookies, no cross‑session identifier, and the IP address is truncated before processing. The cookies below are only set once you click Accept all or toggle Analytics on.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes unique visitors. Google Analytics. | Third‑party (Google) | 2 years |
| _ga_XLTHJYELD6 | Stores session state for this specific GA4 property. | Third‑party (Google) | 2 years |
| ph_*_posthog | PostHog session + user pseudonym for product analytics inside the dashboard. Set only when you accept analytics. | First‑party (PostHog SDK) | 1 year |

- You can also clear cookies and local storage from your browser’s settings (Chrome:
